Dear Laymen,

I have been asked to present at the General Baptist State Convention’s (GBSC) Rowan Association’s bi-monthly session on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Harshaw Grove Baptist Church in Randleman NC, where Rev W.D. Roseman Sr. is pastor.

Our Rowan Association’s moderator, Rev. David L. Bracken of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Spencer NC will be presiding. Registration begins at 8:30am. The session includes workshops, musical selections, and a sermon. The session ends around 12noon.

On January 25, 2011, I was asked by Dr T. Ashby Banister of Temple Memorial Baptist church to attend the Rowan Association’s Executive committee meeting. Afterwards, the moderator, Rev Bracken and committee asked me to speak about the 2011 Walter Cade Jr Workshop and the State Laymen League Association at their upcoming bi-monthly meetings.

Importantly, I have reviewed many of the GBSC Moderator’s websites, and very little to nothing is mentioned about our laymen league ministry. These Associations have the same organizational structure and ministries as the General Baptist State Convention. Therefore, we must use these opportunities to provide education and awareness to our Laymen League cause. Noted, The Rowan Association was organized in 1877.

It would be great to have an impressive number of Laymen during this event, so we can really make a major impact. Please adjust your schedule to attend. Thanks.
